Looking Forward |
Answers to audience questions (continued) Q04. Will you offer weekend classes? A04. Yes. It is likely either I will teach slowed down and slightly modified sets from Hung Gar and Shaolin or there will be guest instructors teaching different styles of tai chi - both sacred and secular. For example, Zhaobao style has a set for long-handled axe - how could anyone resist that? And the monastic versions of tai chi are often performed in hats with special uniforms. Irresistable. Plus, I have friends who teach Xing Yi and Bagua so we'll have to have classes in those lest feelings get hurt. We'll also be doing formal exhibitions to thank people who have helped us, function as something of a report card for you, and generally show off. I expect those will require some extra work. If there is interest in lion and dragon dancing we'll have to see how cymbals, drums and gongs work out. |
