Prelude #8

Theme: Hexagram:
G major    Pi "a banding together"

For some students cool wraps for the neck and for the head are useful to prevent overheating, tachycardia and seizures. We suggest dampening the cool wrap every 30 minutes during water breaks and snacks. We are studying how often wraps should be laundered and how they should be dried. Currently, we suggest a quick rinse in a hypoallergenic soap and a rinse and letting it drip dry. No advice yet on how often to change.
If you sweat a lot during class tuck a soft cotton handkerchief into the waistband of your pants.
So far, headbands appear to be very unpopular.
We are also studying cooling socks. If you have or think you might have hot feet it is prudent to see what the underlying cause is. Sometimes it is just that the surface you are walking on is hot. Other times hot feet are a consequence of diabetes, neural compression, athlete's foot and some other conditions.
We have no opinion at this time regarding mechanical fans - with or without water - versus air conditioning.
