  A major    T'ai "rising above any problems"

Many of the Chen Family style Tai Chi Chuan positions and movements make sense when the dancer has a weapon, notably a sword.
For example, Single Whip bears a very close resemblance to a low parry in European style fencing. Once the opponent's sword is safely beaten outside your right knee, your blade with fly upward crossing his left thigh and abdomen before arriving at the throat and under the chin.
