To dance in parallel at an
exhibit or in class means everyone does much or less the same
thing at the same time. To dance in series means student #1
does the first movement; then student #2 does the first
movement; then student #3 does the first movement ... until
the last student (#8 in this example) does the first movement.
Then student #8 also does the second movement. This is
followed by students 7, 6, 5 ... 2 doing the second movement.
After student #1 does the second movement he or she then does
the third movement. |
