If someone puts on the classic orange robe and pants with cross-

gartered socks it is commonly understood that the martial art is

some flavor of the Shaolin Temple associated styles. To be sure,

there are gray garments as well, and there have been tragic gaps

in the Temple's history. But some very fine arts have survived.
