| Solid state drives come in many configurations - combined with a hard disk drive to form a hybrid; used internally as a substitute for a hard disk drive or attached externally. They are cheap, fast, reliable and good at resisting damage due to drops. Note the very different parameter values compared to a typical hard disk. |
