their precision that those of
the previous page. As the
populations are somewhat
similar we have not
normalized the four figures
for each country. Of concern
to economists of the free
market persuasion is that
most countries shown here
(but really not Spain and
Poland, and certainly not
California) can use toner to
manipulate their currency
and, at the cost of domestic
inflation, sometimes
overcome budget imbalances
as well as trade troubles.
