These are [mostly] black chia seeds. There is also white chia - no one has reported using it yet.
There are many ingenious ways to serve chia. /1/ Chia water: soak 1/4 cup (40 grams) in 4 cups (one liter) of water
for 20 to 30 minutes. You can add some fruit or other flavorings at the end /2/ instead of water mix with fruit juice - be
aware of the sugar content /3/ chia pudding - add more seeds and let soak 40 minutes /4/ if adding to a smoothie let the
seeds soak 20 to 30 minutes before mixing them in /5/ sprinkled (unsoaked or soaked) on top of ice cream (!) and cereal and
oatmeal /6/ as topping on salads, in or on bread, on pancakes and with rice or quinoa /7/ one student swears by chia on
breakfast bars
