Hand Sanitizers |
|
The FDA recommended soap and water for 20 seconds and then |
drying with a paper towel which would be discarded. |
COVID-19 is caused by a virus - the FDA was unenthused about |
anti-bacterial soaps. The FDA deemed a homemade mix |
of 2 parts ethyl (NOT methyl) alcohol and 1 part aloe vera with |
possible addition of liquid vitamin E and a scent (mint, |
lavender ...) to be a reasonable substitute. We just asked
parents |
to send what they wanted used if our orange Softsoap |
anti-bacterial (see previous page) was not acceptable. We are |
sticking with 20 seconds of scrubbing at entry, exit, after |
sneeze, cough and bathroom. In turn, we are not enthused about |
fragrant, high-alcohol products. |

Vintage - appropriate for a centuries-old practice |
Actually, we are not wild about the clear liquids |
