Welcome to Silver Wolf Wushu.
Our primary task is to
teach Chinese martial arts to people with special needs using
modern technologies. In particular, we teach Chen Family style
tai chi chuan to people with disabilities like autism and
cerebral palsy using custom software and smart devices. With
some diligence, we expect students to have better health,
membership in an inclusive group and life goals that include
college degrees. On much shorter timescales we will provide
daily scores so that parents, physicians and others can measure
not only progress in martial arts but also how effective other
changes like diet, sleep and medications are.
Martial arts are made up of different styles and styles have
different defined sequences of movements called sets or
forms. To measure means we need to score each movement of each
set that a student records. To us, true teaching consists of
showing at several levels what is to to be learned, grading what
the student does, and explaining to the student how to do
better. |
