ever been any association of sash color with rank or
proficiency. The thinking is you can either do Lao Jia well or
you cannot. Everyone will know once you start dancing.
That
said, if you really want to wear a sash, be our guest.
Personally, we use a gold sash when dressing as a Shaolin
