Prelude #36

Theme: Hexagram:
  F major    Ming "darkening"

For Chen Family style Tai Chi Chuan only

If a student passes 18 Movements, Lao Jia, Xin Jia, single saber, single sword, staff, spear and double batons (maces) he or she is entitled to a collegiate bachelor's degree.

If a student later passes Lao Jia 2 (cannon fist), Xin Jia 2, double saber, double sword, kwan dao, two long pole sets and one additional set (choices currently are: stick (zhang), fan, melon hammers or flail) he or she is entitled to a collegiate master's degree.

We do NOT currently have a curriculum organized for any other Tai Chi Chuan styles - usually they do not have enough sets. Nor have we constructed a curriculum for Xing Yi Chuan or Bagua Zhang. It would be straightforward to define a curriculum for external arts such as Northern Shaolin, Hung Gar and Choy Le Fut. The consensus among Chinese martial arts professionals and doctors was that external arts would be a poor path for most people with autism spectrum disabilities.
