Cheng style Bagua Zhang - selected weapons

Instead of daggers such as one might find in Shaolin or butterfly knives like one might use in Hung Gar, Bagua Zhang has deer horn knives.

The bagua big saber is a really a two-handed weapon much heavier and longer than a wushu saber.

The bagua long sword is also a two-handed weapon that is longer and thicker and wider than a wushu sword.

The bagua spear is longer than most wushu spears and has points on both ends.

The bagua staff is six to nine inches longer than the more common eyebrow height staff. It is also typically 1/2" to 3/4"  thicker in diameter.

It has been argued that wind fire wheels and Mandarin coin knives are actually bagua weapons. We have seen very short staffs used as well, but
all of these plus the Mandarin duck hooked swords are infrequently seen and even more rarely taught. There is considerable discussion about exactly what sets and what weapons are canonical or even associated with the various bagua zhang styles.
