The 3 inch diameter pieces are sassafras. The bang is 18 inches – 2 inches longer than usual.
The ruler is 12 inches – about an one or even 1.5 inches longer than usual.
The comparison pieces are 2 inches in diameter and are of bird’s eye maple.
