Human beings are remarkably complicated and varied creatures. The small fraction of our bodies
that is not water is mostly a mixture or lipids, proteins and carbohydrates. One of the simplest
and common carbohydrates is a sugar known as glucose.

O = oxygen; H = Hydrogen and C = Carbon
Glucose is a six carbon sugar.
Rearranging the same atoms produces galactose and fructose - two other sugars. Combining
one glucose and one fructose results in sucrose, otherwise known as common table sugar.
If we take away two hydrogens, one oxygen and one carbon we have ribose, a 5 carbon sugar.
